Kelvin’s Journey into Counselling

Before stepping into counselling, I spent around 15 years working in the mining and construction fields. Those years gave me a strong appreciation for how demanding life can be, and how often people carry heavy loads quietly. Over time, I felt called toward work that focused more on supporting people through those challenges, which led me to complete a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Psychology and advanced Hypnotherapy training.

In counselling, my approach is practical, steady and holistic. I believe that our wellbeing is shaped by a mix of our history, relationships, work, beliefs and daily habits. I work with clients to build resilience, foster self‑understanding and find a clearer way forward during stressful or uncertain times. Whether I’m with an individual, a young adult or a couple, I aim to create a grounded, respectful space where you can be yourself without pressure or judgement.

I see difficult moments as part of the human journey, and often as invitations to pause, reflect and grow. My role is to walk alongside you as you notice your strengths, rebuild confidence and make choices that feel right for you in the long term. Outside of sessions, you will usually find me with a book, out in nature, meditating, or spending time with family and mates. Striving for a balanced, grounded life is something I value deeply and try to reflect in my work.
