Kelvin’s Journey into Counselling

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent about 15 years working in the mining and construction industries. Throughout that time, I felt a desire toward work that focused more on helping people navigate life’s challenges. This led me to complete a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Psychology, and advanced training in Hypnotherapy.

My approach to counselling is practical, supportive, and holistic. Personally, I feel that wellbeing is shaped by many different parts of life, and I work with clients to build resilience, develop self-understanding, and find clarity during difficult times. Whether working with individuals, young adults, or couples, I aim to create a calm and respectful space where people feel comfortable being themselves.

I believe that even tough moments in life can open the door to growth. My role is to support people in recognising their strengths, building confidence, and moving forward in a way that feels right for them.

Outside of counselling, I enjoy a good book, time in nature, meditation, and spending time with family and mates. For myself, living a balanced and grounded life is something I value both personally and professionally.
